Reliability and sustainability in reheating furnaces with ESA burners

In the steel mills, preheating semi-finished products in large continuous furnaces before rolling is critical. The ‘Walking Beam,’ ‘Walking Hearth,’ or ‘Rotary Hearth’ type furnaces, although releasing huge heat quantities, must strictly follow given temperature profiles in each zone to ensure the quality and yield of the final product. Additionally, the ‘Green steel” challenge requires today the possibility to use hydrogen, blends, off gases and any kind of available green fuels even liquid.

ESA leads the way in addressing these challenges, supplying complete solutions targeting efficiency and sustainability. First of with the refractory head burners, long fame (for lateral use) or radiant type (for roof use), in recuperative or regenerative options, guarantee flame stability and precision when delivering huge heat quantities to the process using both traditional or hydrogen or green fuels and blends.
