5 OctHydrogen test on regenerative burners

One pair of ESA REGE-6-NxT regenerative burners (the most efficient series of High Temperature air/fuel burners) was configured to use H2/NG mixture with a content of hydrogen from 10% to 100%, and tested in Flame and Flameless mode onto our biggest 3MW test furnace.

Further to reach zero CO2 emissions when used with 100% Green H2, this combination greatly economizes energy consumption whatever the fuel with a fuel saving up to 50% compared to a cold air burner, whatever the fuel.

Regarding NOx emissions, due to the special design of the burner, in Flameless Mode they were extremely low and comparable with the NG firing.
